  1. Dearest brothers and sisters of the Visual Unit,

Thank you so very much for your great labours and ministry for the Lord with this website! The materials are of much help, of profound depth, and info rich and doctrinally sound content, all presented in such a lucid and beautifully arranged visual way! Truly, your work is such a blessing for the kingdom and for each believer who will benefit and grow (hopefully in the grace and transfomative regeneration of the work of the Spirit of our Lord) in light of using this material for teaching and training!

I thank the Lord for your ministry.

Perhaps it is cliched to quote a bible verse, but it never runs out of timeless truth, life, meaning, and not to mention, style:

“Your words are what sustain me; they are food to my hungry soul. They bring joy to my sorrowing heart and delight me.” – Jeremiah 15:16

  3. This is fantastic!

Just a thought, is it possible to make one with all the books of the Old Testament, so readers can see where they fit in? This has some books, but not all.

  4. I agree with Matt Jacobs’ “fantastic” and with his suggestion, and I would also like to ask if you could please consider adding two small but very important items to the chart:

    1. Next to ‘Jerusalem destroyed’ please add the year the Temple of Solomon was destroyed: 586 BC

    2. At the bottom, beneath the arrowhead, please add the year the Second Temple was destroyed: 70 AD.

    Thanks again.

  5. Great stuff. Can we talk about using this in our ministry context? (We are in a publicly funded high school and have a daily chapel program.)

  11. Mark –
I’m wrapping up a series in OT History for our youth group and would love to use your timeline. Are you ok with that?

    • Hi Mike. One of the first diagrams I ever created attempted to show the ‘lines and stations’ of church history, i.e. how the major denominations formed. But I was never very happy with it, so have never published it. I’ll email you a copy instead.

  12. Hi Mark,
I’m doing a ‘Bible in Ten’ series at the Presbyterian church in Cairns, and I was wondering if I could use this diagram in some Bible study booklets? It looks much better than the old one in Gospel and Kingdom!

    thanks,

    Andrew

  15. Hi Mark
I would like to use the Bible Timeline in a Bible Overview I am teaching at our church. It will be printed in a non-commercial short booklet with acknowledgment.
Also, in preparing my booklet I have included a blank map of the world (roughly Egypt to Persia) to be used repeatedly in the course to help people get their bearings. Perhaps that is something you could include at some point.
    Many blessings and great thanks,
    Michael (Durban, South Africa)

    • Hi Michael. Yes, by all means use the timeline for your course. I’m glad it’s helpful. Can you please send me a copy of your blank map (visualunit.me/about/)? And I’ll see what I can do.

  16. Hey Mark .. love your work! Keep it up brother. You are a blessing to many with all these visuals.

Any chance you can make this timeline landscape instead of portrait. It will make it easier for people to see when showing it on a screen

  19. HI Mark. Would it be ok for me to use the timeline in a series at women’s bible study on King David (1-2 Samuel)? I would include it in the booklet we create for the series (with acknowledgement), for distribution to all members.
    Thanks.
